A few days ago we got a call from the realtor of the Hamilton House and they were interested in negotiating a new purchase price. So for all those people who told me that would happen, you were correct! Even though the sellers were not willing to go as low as we originally wanted to go we were still able to get a price where my partner and I could make some money.
The important part in this entire deal is that we kept in communication with our buyers and knew exactly what they would pay for the house. They are still interested in it so we are about to lock up the house again at a lower price. This deal won’t be a home run by a long shot but any pay day is a good pay day!
Another First
One thing I really want to point out here is that through all of this my partner and I are learning so much. There is nothing like getting into the action and trying to do deals and struggling to make them work. You can read about this stuff all you want but until you are actually in the middle of it all you really haven’t learned a thing.
With each successful deal, failed deal or crazy seller you encounter it’s important to take a step back and realize that you’ve just done something new. Gaining that experience is invaluable and will help you as you move forward.
It’s amazing how far we’ve come in a year since our first deal even though we’ve only gotten one other since then. I can see it the progress and that gives me confidence.

Thanks Sharon, but nothing is locked up or closed yet. I’ve learned never to count my chickens before they hatch
I had a feeling that this would happen (I know Sharon did also) … great news Scott!
Yup, you both did. I was on your side as well, but didn’t want to jinx anything.
