Holiday GiveAway Week

December 14, 2009 by Scott Costello 31 Comments

presentsThis is the first annual Struggling Investor Holiday GiveAway Week!  Well it’s actually the second as last year I gave away a copy of Steve Cook’s Wholesaling for Quick Cash to Ingrid.  This year however, I have so much more to give away and that is in large part to some very generous people.

The reason for me giving this stuff away is that I hope to help someone start off the new year with a bang.   I have been helped by each and everyone who has visited my blog and it only seems right to be able to give back.

Each day, from now until I run out of items to give, I’ll be giving away one invaluable investing resource to one lucky person.  The rules to enter are simple and will be explained at the bottom of this post. I will then pick one lucky person out of those who have entered and announce it the next day on December 23rd.  Simple right?  Here is the list of products and the days I will be giving them away.

  • Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
  • Steve Cook’s Rehabbing for Big Cash v2
  • Flip This Reo e-Book by Stephani Davis (Courtesy of Stephani Davis)
  • Autographed Copy of the Go-Giver by Bob Burg (courtesy of Shae Bynes)
  • T Harv Eker’s Millionaire Mind Intensive Weekend Seminar (16 CDs) (courtesy of Kelly Miller)
  • Subject2 e-Book by Nick Johnson (courtesy of Nick Johnson)
  • Flip This REO e-Book by Stephani Davis

  • Bill Guerra’s – How to Talk with Motivated Sellers Audio
  • Bill Guerra’s – How to Talk With Motivated Sellers e-Book
  • Preston Ely’s – Profiting With Probates – Audios and Forms
  • and more if I can get some stuff

There may even be more stuff as the week goes on so keep checking back.

Giveaway for everyone!

Going along with the giveaway theme, Steve Cook has been giving free access to one of his boot camps.  From having gone to one last spring, I must tell you they are top notch!  It is just incredible of him to share the video of this with everyone for free.  I’m not sure how long he will have it available but if you haven’t already follow the link below…

1 Copy: Subject2 e-Book by Nick Johnson (curtesy of Nick Johnson)

I hear from them every day people who are afraid to get into real estate investing because they’ve been told it’s scary, complicated, and way too risky. The simple truth is that real estate investing is exciting, simple, and no more risky than driving down the street. (Like the old saying goes, don’t believe everything you hear One thing you’ve heard is true: real estate investing can make you tons of money. Yes, things can happen that you need to be prepared for, but it’s rare if you know what you’re doing. That’s the key. You can do it just as easily as I do, and make just as much money The bottom line is: you can easily learn do it and make thousands, or tens of thousands, of dollars per month with just a little work. I can show you exactly how to do it, from beginning to end, and help you every step of the way. I do Subject To investing, also known as Sub2 or Sub’ing. This type of investing is very flexible and fits most homeowner situations.

In T. Harv Eker's N.Y. The Go-Giver tells the story of an ambitious young man named Joe who yearns for success. Joe is a true go-getter, though sometimes he feels as if the harder and faster he works, the further away his goals seem to be. And so one day, desperate to land a key sale at the end of a bad quarter, he seeks advice from the enigmatic Pindar, a legendary consultant referred to by his many devotees simply as the Chairman.

Check out http://www.money4investors.com They have a feature for getting Preforeclosures, foreclosures, bankruptcy info, tax lien info, etc. YOu can search by different parameters like Zipcode, etc. The gold membership is just under 40 bucks a month and you have access to up to date info. I had a trial membership for awhile and it was easy to cancel it, no BS, so I'm going to give the gold membership a try. I've decided to narrow my wholesaling focus to three subdivisions in my local area and work them hard. There's a ton of foreclosure and bankruptcy activity right in my own backyard, and knowing the market will make it easier.

When I'm doing my “drive-by”, I use Multiplottr for my driving maps.

Multiplottr allows you to map, save and share multiple addresses on Google Maps. You have a wide variety of markers to choose from, and you can give your own alternative description rather then displaying the full address.

I've learned a lot from Stephani Davis' blog: http://www.flipthiswholesaler.net

I've been researching real estate investing for months now, and her blog is packed with great information and so down to earth that it encourages you and kicks you in the butt at the same time to get up and get started already. I would love to win her ebook or any of the other's, they seem really informative also.

    Thanks!

Scott, Great idea on the giveaway. I tip my hat to you, for working hard to make it happen in one of the most difficult states to do business in, my home state of NJ, where there is a rule and regulation and permit necessary to do just about everything, except breathe!
My favorite links are flippinghomes.com and biggerpockets.com. Plus just about anything Google provides. I have recently set up Google alerts to troll my local Craigslist for particular items that I am interested in.

If it's hard to invest in NJ, then that just means there are less people doing it! :) Thanks for the comments Don, and that is a great idea using google alerts to scan craigslist.
