Probate Monday – Week #1 Update – Ron Mead

October 29, 2009 by Scott Costello 5 Comments

probate investingI did a little research and decided that I’m going to concentrate on one county, Morris County.  Below are the following stats that I got from Quickfacts.Senses.gov.  I wanted to make sure the population numbers could provide me with enough probate leads and it definitely can.  Take a look at the below stats…

Morris County Stats

Population: 487,548
Persons 65+: 12.9%
Housing Units: 184,618
Home Ownership: 76%
Median Household Income: $94,556
Person’s Below Poverty: 4.1%
Persons per square mile: 1002.6

Outside of the total population, it is a good idea to consider the home ownership rate. For Morris County it’s a robust 76%, which is in the top 5 for counties in NJ.    12.9% of the population is over the age of 65, which means that there are about 62,900 elderly people in the area.  Not to be morbid but that is good.

Ron Mead’s Note!

Out blogging buddy, J.P. Moses from ReiTips.com recommended that I contact Ron Mead to let him know about what I’m doing with Probate Mondays and I got a response back.  Here is what Ron had to say…

Thanks for the note.  Sounds like you have a very sound approach to your RE investing career.  I’ll mention your blog in one of my upcoming mails….I’ll check your progress every once in a while.  Probate is very arbitrary as some folks can put together a deal in 3 weeks and others it takes quite a bit longer.  You just never know.  Best wishes with your new venture, Scott!

Ron seems like a great guy and if he in fact does mention Probate Monday in one of his emails that would be awesome!  Also if enough people participate and contribute I bet you anything that he will stop buy and help out if needed.

Also if you are reading this J.P. this is what Ron had to say about you

…we have exchanged emails.  I believe him to be a high integrity guy which you don’t always get in the field of RE teachers.  I’m happy to hear he has recommended me.

I look forward to moving onto the next step on Monday.

    Awesome – you go, Scott!

Ron takes his relationship with his customers as seriously as I do. I've spoken with he and his lovely bride a few times and I can tell you, they're good people. Authentic. And Ron's course is a far cry ahead of other Probate courses I've seen, but at a fraction of the price. Highly recommended…and for those who know me, I don't give a flat out endorsement like that one all the time. And I truly mean it when I do.

Keep throwing logs on the fire, Scott. You're building some great momentum, man!
