Slow, but getting ready for another run

Slow5Slow weekend in terms of REI. I got nothing done and I blame that on not setting my goals for last week. It’s really amazing how well writing them down works. It’s like I hit a peak with making that offer and now I’m taking a breather. That’s not gonna work, I have to keep the momentum going or risk falling backwards. Tonight I’m going to rework my short term plan and get back in the swing of things.

My goals for this week are…

  1. Rework my short terms plan
  2. Find another house to make an offer on
  3. Place google analytics on my squeeze page so I can keep a record of who is visiting my site
  4. write up an internet marketing plan

Rei Resource Share

So far we have 4 people and growing.  Once we have the initial 10 people we will setup how exactly it will work.  I’m in the middle of testing a message board that will be available to members so we can keep track of and discuss the resources.  If you are interested in putting your name on the list or if you have already I’m sure we will expand the membership at some point.  I just wanted to start out small so we could work out the details and kinks.  Here is the link to the Resource Share…Link

Not a Totally Lost Weekend

I ran the first 5k race of my life this past Saturday.   I didn’t do to bad, only walked for about 10 steps twice.  Once when I was getting water (I tried drinking while I ran but the water ended up no where near my mouth) and once on the 3rd hill at about the 2/3rds point in the race.  I thought these courses were flat!?!?!   Any how, I managed to finish the race at 29:06.  I was happy with that as well as managing to not pass out when I crossed the finish line.    My wife has us signed up for another one in 2 weeks and I know I can do better.

On to my debt.  Those idiots who give out student loans can’t seem to be able to send out a pin number, so I changed course and decided to pay of a 5k chunk of my car.   So now I only have a shade over 13k to pay off.  I can have that done by november I think.  After that we will move on to my wife’s car.   It’s amazing how good I felt after putting that check in the mail.  liberating!

Woo hoo! Nice work on the debt obliteration ;-)

Regarding Google Analytics, I’d suggest downloading the following plug-in:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/

While you’re at it, pick up this one too (its a must have!):
    http://wp.uberdose.com/2007/03/24/all-in-one-seo-pack/

I still have my blog on the free WordPress platform, but eventually (after I get my other stuff in order for my squeeze pages), I’ll transfer it over to my web host so I can use plug-ins, cool templates, etc. for my blog too.
